Hello everyone just a useful article that gives you a sense of what Vr now should be priced at. I think it's important to know this because for future reference any products we offer will need to be priced aggressively if we want to have a large consumer market. If you have any questions send me message on here or through slack.

vex: who thinks that we have a better shot at making a NerveGear quicker id we use lucid dreaming?
Aug 1, 2017 16:29:32 GMT -5
MXKx20: Vex, induction of lucid dreaming seems to me like the correct path.

Spartan1016: I think that lucid dreaming may take longer though, we understand so little about dreaming. Another thing is that we still move while in REM. Another concern is the fact that it would take a while to relax the body to that state and waking up randomly

Spartan1016: I think the government might start to fund these projects b/c of military uses such as battle sims and in training. Medical uses too. I think that our biggest problem is paralyzing the body which we can try to do by inducing sleep paralysis.

Spartan1016: an Aincrad level world will be able to be coded easily by that time as processing pwer increases. And the interface is already starting. the paralysis and the brain directly recieving info is something i wanna research on

EllesarDragon: didn't find these forums until recently, however I have individually been working on finding a cheap device capable of doing kind of what the nerve gear does while still staying rather safe and very cheap to make.

EllesarDragon: right now it can tapof/extract your movement/movement signals and it can also prevent your physical body from actually moving significantly. most other things such as feeling and such are still not really to well designed and tested.

EllesarDragon: vision is stil done using a normal VR headset, hearing still using headphones/speakers, I will soon start experimenting with galvanic vestibular stimulation for balance, feeling in the skin I mostly tried using high voltage, but was to unsafe.

EllesarDragon: so to answer Spartan1016, there is actual progres, my first version of this device was somewhere around 2013 to 2014, facebook now is also working on a technology similar to the second version, however the current version is much cheaper and much better.
