This is a link to a thread whose OP is a guy with a M.S. in physics. Obviously very knowledgeable. I think we ought to reach out to him and his group to let him know that others are as enthusiastic about this as he is. The thread seems to also have some good info about EPOC tech, which is worth taking a look at.

Spartan1016: I think that lucid dreaming may take longer though, we understand so little about dreaming. Another thing is that we still move while in REM. Another concern is the fact that it would take a while to relax the body to that state and waking up randomly Dec 5, 2017 12:48:00 GMT -5

Spartan1016: I think the government might start to fund these projects b/c of military uses such as battle sims and in training. Medical uses too. I think that our biggest problem is paralyzing the body which we can try to do by inducing sleep paralysis. Dec 5, 2017 12:49:56 GMT -5

EllesarDragon: didn't find these forums until recently, however I have individually been working on finding a cheap device capable of doing kind of what the nerve gear does while still staying rather safe and very cheap to make. May 14, 2022 16:13:40 GMT -5

EllesarDragon: right now it can tapof/extract your movement/movement signals and it can also prevent your physical body from actually moving significantly. most other things such as feeling and such are still not really to well designed and tested. May 14, 2022 16:15:13 GMT -5
