Hey guys, I know activity has dropped a bit. This is mainly due to the academic year starting up for many people and other events in our lives. I thought I would make this post to help guide people who are interested in helping. These are some of the topics which we need help researching. If you see one that interests you, feel free to look into it more deeply and share your knowledge with us. - Miniturization of Brain Imaging Devices (EEG/EMG/fMRI)
- Focused Ultrasound Muscle Paralysis(?)
- Manipulation of sleep paralysis chemicals
- Methodology for combined TMS and EEG
- Could tDCS be used in this application?
- Determine the regions of olfactory bulb; Can we send electrical signals to the olfactory bulb to stimulate various regions of the olfactory bulb thus creating certain smells?
- fMRI + EEG/EMG for higher spatial and temporal resolutions
- The work of EEG+fMRI by Frank Scharnowski
- The work of TMS in the visual cortex by Alvaro Pascual-Leone, Vincent Walsh, Lotfi Merabet, and Amir Amedi.
- Transcranial magnetic stimulation for individual identification of the best electrode position for a motor imagery-based brain-computer interface - Link
- Laryngeal EEG/sEMG & The Audeo
- and many more that will be added...
These may look a bit daunting, however through some simple searching you can become pretty knowledgeable on these topics. I suggest Google Scholar to those that do not have access to academic libraries. Any of these posts and many more topics would great great research topics. I will definitely be looking into them during my free time. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thank you.
