Have you guys looked at Emotiv EPOC / EPOC+. Can it be used as a control for the VR. We actually have access to the Emotiv EPOC+ and other EEG devices. We've used it for testing/analyze and we're currently looking into using the EPOC/EPOC+ as a game input device. Here is a video example of this type of work with the EPOC+.

Uses you say? Well, excluding the rather obvious implications for gaming, this technology would enable those with disabilities to experience some semblance of life without any hindrances. Depending on where the device interfaces with the nervous system, it might even be able to allow quadriplegics to experience movement again.
This system would also be perfect for controlling humanoid robots, which would allow people to easily use disposable robots in areas unsafe for humans, or perhaps transcend the body entirely for those with malfunctions of the flesh.
