Hey there. I'm just a college student studying business, but on the side I became very interested in futurism and the rapid pace of technology. I decided that virtual reality is going to change everything, but couldn't really find anywhere on reddit to discuss it with others who were interested. So here i am.

Hey, welcome to the forums. I'm glad you could make it. Business is very interesting and an key aspect of life and Virtual Reality is definitely going to be a major business market which we can already see with the Oculus Rift. Adding on I too, love the future and the new technology and ideas it could bring.
Hopefully you enjoy the forums, if you have any questions please feel free to ask in the Questions & Answers section. (We want to make a FAQ board there)

Nice jblack. I would suggest you to learn some more about the technical aspect of it, so that you start to get a more clear image about the possibilities and constrains in the field. It's fun, however, how VR makes the field so plastic as to almost be inconstrainable. I personally am interested in how to interact with the virtual world through another infinitely plastic means. That's what draws me to direct Brain—Computer Interfaces. Since you are interested in the future, it might interested you as well.
