I don't know if there is already a post like this (if there is, then I'm sorry). Here is the idea, the nervegear as seen in SAO, cut off all the nerve signals at the level of the neck. Now comes the issue of how, without proper surgery, we can dream all we want, but there is a constraint called size (I'll explain why size is a problem later), but if we make the nervegear not a headset but a capsule, this way, you don't need to stop all the nerve signals at one specific unchanging point (this whole ordeal exist because i think that stooping the all the nerve signals from one point is difficult, if it isn't, then i only blame my lack of information), you can block anyone of them at the receiver, meaning, let's say for example the gamer want to slash on the virtual world, the nerve signals would go to the arm, the hips and the legs, the capsule will then block the signals automatically at the level of the arm, legs... the reason it can do this, while the headset can't is obviously the size, as the capsule cover the whole body.

We are considering a few methods for inhibiting neural activity, and there has been some interest in inhibiting neural activity near the neck (or more specifically, the spinal cord). However, we are considering multiple other options, which includes, but is not limited to, sleep paralysis. I honestly do not see a specific need for a capsule, as individual components (in the case that infrared or ultrasound hardware is used) can be moved to different areas of the body, suited for the physique of individuals. In this case, a capsule may even be detrimental to the goal. I would however, say that most signals can be stopped at the 'neck region' (or more specifically, below the midbrain, at the spinal cord). Other areas would be the cranial nerves, which are located in various areas around the head. (hence, 'cranial'.) On that note however, I do not see a particular reason, why not.

Really good, well balanced review. It actually provides the information that I need to evaluate these CRM systems. Thanks!

awesome. im comparing these two right now and this is very handy. i am using exchange server and it seems the only way to fully integrate is to sync with google (calendar / contacts) and then sync with exchange...
